A car crash in Cambridge Thursday night has left two men dead and one with serious injuries.

A 51-year-old man from Florida and a 30-year-old man from Pickering were pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the collision.

A 22-year-old Welland man sustained serious injuries and was transported to an out-of-region hospital.

Around 11:50 p.m., emergency crews arrived to the Hespeler Road and Sheldon Drive area.

After an initial investigation, police determined a Hyundai, which driven by the Welland man and carrying the Pickering man, was going north on Hespeler Road.

The man from Welland then drove into the side of a Toyota that was going south on Hespeler Road, and it rolled over as a result of the collision.

The driver of the Toyota was the man from Florida.

Hespeler Road was closed between Langs Drive and Pinebush Road.

Police are continuing to investigate.
