Driver facing impaired charges following crash

Charges have been laid against a driver, following a crash in Kitchener.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Monday on Fairway Road South.
Police say they observed an SUV travelling at a high rate of speed.
They allege the vehicle disobeyed a red traffic signal, swerving into oncoming traffic, causing a serious crash with another vehicle.
The driver of SUV suffered minor injuries and was later released from hospital.
A Kitchener man, 41, is facing several charges, including impaired operation of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
No name has been released.
