Motorcycle crash closes portion of Spragues Road for several hours (update)

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a crash just outside of Cambridge that led to an over five hour closure.

Police say a motorcyclist was travelling on Spragues Road and lost control around 10:30 Thursday night.

The rider was thrown from the bike, which slid a short distance before striking a vehicle travelling in the other direction. 

The 35-year-old motorcyclist was sent to hospital with serious but non-lifethreatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, also 35-years-old, was not injured.

Spragues Road was closed between Alps Road and Greenfield Road shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday for the investigation, and then reopened around 4:30 Friday morning.
