Child pornography investigation leads to charges for Kitchener man

A 23-year-old Kitchener man is facing a duo of charges following the completion of an investigation into child pornography by Waterloo Regional Police and their Internet Child Exploitation Unit. 

According to police, that investigation began in December of 2022 after reports received from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre. 

On Thursday, police conducted a search warrant of a residence in Kitchener, placing that 23-year-old Kitchener man under arrest. 

That 23-year-old has since been charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Make Available Child Pornography, and has been held in police custody for a bail hearing.
