A 19-year-old is facing several charges relating to a child pornography investigation.
Waterloo Regional Police said they started investigating in July of 2021 after complaints were made to the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre.
The allegations were about a person with links to Kitchener, Mississauga, and Etobicoke.
As a result, members from the Toronto Police, Peel Regional Police, and Waterloo Regional Police services executed search warrants in Mississauga and Etobicoke on Friday.
A Mississauga man was arrested and charged with nine counts of possessing child pornography, and seven counts of making child pornography available. No name has been released.
