Charges laid in fatal Kitchener crash from February

Waterloo Regional Police have made two arrests in connection with a fatal collision in Kitchener back in February.

It happened the afternoon of Feb. 3, at the intersection of Victoria Street South and Fisher-Hallman Road.

A vehicle turning left was allegedly struck by a vehicle travelling west on Victoria.

The passenger of the vehicle turning left, a 25-year-old Kitchener man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two drivers were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The alleged driver of the vehicle that was making the left hand turn, a 25-year-old woman from Kitchener, has been charged with careless driving causing death.

A 20-year-old Kitchener man, the alleged driver of the vehicle heading west on Victoria, has been charged with dangerous operation causing death, impaired operation causing death, and operation blood drug concentration.
