Cambridge soccer star involved in traffic incident while visiting friends

Cambridge native and professional soccer goaltender Rylee Foster is recovering after a traffic incident last weekend.

Her club team Liverpool FC Women released a statement, saying she's been in hospital for observation following the incident that happened while she was visiting friends.

The location of the incident is not known.

The team said the 23-year-old suffered some injuries and is set to return to Merseyside, England in the coming days for further assessment and rehabilitation.

The team said they will provide further updates in due course.

Foster was most recently in action last Wednesday, October 13, a shootout win in Liverpool's Continental League Cup qualifier against Aston Villa Women.
