It happened around 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Highway 5 and Woodhill Road.

According to Hamilton police, a 2006 Ford Focus was travelling north on Woodhill towards Hwy. 5, when it was allegedly struck by a 2016 Honda SUV within the intersection.

Both vehicles came to rest in a drainage ditch on the north side of the highway.

The driver of the Ford, a 64-year-old Cambridge man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 73-year-old Hamilton woman, the driver of the Honda, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
