Cambridge man charged in child pornography investigation

Waterloo Regional Police have laid several charges in connection with a child pornography investigation that was launched back in July.

Police received complaints from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre regarding a person possessing and uploading child pornography in January 2021.

On Wednesday, October 13, a search warrant was carried out at a home in Cambridge.

Police then made an arrest on Friday.

An 18-year-old Cambridge man faces two counts of possession of child pornography and making child pornography. The accused is being held for a bail hearing.
