Cambridge firefighters were on scene battling a fully involved structure fire on Monday.

In a post on social media shortly after 4 p.m., the Cambridge Fire Department said it happened on the Brantford Highway, which is also known as Highway 24.

The post said there were no injuries reported and the public was asked to avoid the area.

Police also say the cause of the fire was undetermined, but it is not believed to be suspicious.

According to the Ministry of Transportation and Waterloo Regional Police, Highway 24 was completely closed between Myers Road and Waynco Road as a result.

The MTO said the stretch of highway fully reopened shortly before 6:30 p.m.
