An arrest has been made in connection with two fires, one in Waterloo and another in Kitchener.

The most recent blaze was in Kitchener and saw a dumpster set aflame, outside a business last Thursday. It was reported to police on Monday, August 1.

In mid-July, minor damage was done after a fire was set at a Waterloo business on King Street. No one was injured.

Police believe the two fires are connected.

A 38-year-old man has been charged with two counts of Arson - Causing Damage to Property and Arson - Endangering Human Life.
