Arrest made after stabbing incident in Waterloo

An arrest has been made following a stabbing incident in Waterloo over the weekend.

Officers responded to a residence in the Erb Street East area the afternoon of December 3.

When they arrived, they found a 26-year-old man who had sustained minor injuries from a stab wound. He was taken to hospital by paramedics.

A 20-year-old woman was also arrested.

The accused has been charged with assault with a weapon, as well as possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. 

Police also say the victim and accused are known to each other.
