Arrest made after police seize stolen narcotics

Police have made an arrest after a driver was allegedly found sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle in Waterloo.

The incident was reported to police around 6 p.m. on November 21, in the area of Parkside Drive and Glenelm Crescent.

When officers arrived, a driver was arrested for being impaired by a drug.

Police also seized numerous pharmacy packaged prescription narcotics within the vehicle that they determined were stolen.

A 39-year-old Orangeville woman has been charged with operation while impaired, possession of stolen goods over $5,000 and possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts).
