$500,000 of electronics stolen from local construction sites

Regional Police are investigating after over $500,000 worth of electronics was stolen from numerous construction sites, throughout Waterloo Region.

Throughout August, police were called about several thefts at construction sites in Cambridge, Kitchener and North Dumfries. 

Electronics such as GPS devices and computer-related hardware were stolen from heavy equipment located on site.

Police are reminding construction site workers to ensure all heavy equipment such as bulldozers and excavators are locked and secured when not onsite.
