Titans wrap perfect weekend with tight win over London

By Mark Pare

The London Lightning have long been the kryptonite of the KW Titans, but the Titans finally got one over their rivals down the 401.

Chad Frazier was the hot hand for the Titans, knocking down a game-high 31 points in a 103-102 win over the Lightning at the Aud Saturday night.

This included the go-ahead free throw with 59 seconds left, and he also got a key steal in the final moments that ultimately sealed the win.

Eric Ferguson had 23 points and nine rebounds, keeping pace with the top players in the league in both categories. Teammate Joel Kindred, who had a season-low nine points on Saturday, is the top player in NBL Canada averaging 21.9 points a game.

The Titans have won four of their last five games, but are still struggling to draw attendance numbers.

The recorded attendance was 570 on Saturday. The number hasn't been above 600 since a reported 2,282 fans took in the season-opener on February 21.

Nonetheless, the Titans roll on with a 9-6 record and host the Windsor Express Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
