He was pretty close to the rafters when calling games on the radio, now the late Don Cameron's name will go up there.
The Kitchener Rangers will honour "The Legend" at Friday's home game versus Ottawa.
There will be a banner raising, video tribute and public address.
Cameron, 82, passed away suddenly in early June.
He was the play-by-play voice of the Rangers for 50 seasons, taking part in 4,000 plus broadcasts.
The game starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
If you can't make it, you can listen to it on 570 NEWS.
Tonight marks the first @OHLRangers game that Don Cameron won't attend. But the organization has made sure he's here, in the concourse, on the ice, and in the Media Room (aka The Don Cameron Room). Classy, Kitchener Rangers. Pure class. #OHL #OHLRangers pic.twitter.com/w6n1b9FU3y
