Rangers to honour Don Cameron before Friday’s game

By Blair Adams

He was pretty close to the rafters when calling games on the radio, now the late Don Cameron's name will go up there.

The Kitchener Rangers will honour “The Legend” at Friday's home game versus Ottawa.

There will be a banner raising, video tribute and public address.

Cameron, 82, passed away suddenly in early June.

He was the play-by-play voice of the Rangers for 50 seasons, taking part in 4,000 plus broadcasts.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

If you can't make it, you can listen to it on 570 NEWS.
