The Kitchener Rangers have made their third signing of the week.
Swedish defenceman Axel Bergkvist put pen to paper with the team on Thursday.
He was taken 95th overall in the 2019 CHL Import Draft.
Last season, as a member of Leksand's IF J20 SuperElit squad he put up 21 points in 23 games and as a member of Leksands IF in the Allsvenskan League he collected 10 points in 36 games.
"It's a real honour to play for the Kitchener Rangers," Bergkvist said in a release, adding that making the move to Canada "is the biggest step in my hockey career."
Bergkvist, 19, was a seventh round pick of the Arizona Coyotes in the 2019 NHL Draft.
Rangers General Manager Mike McKenzie says Bergkvist has an elite shot and very good offensive instincts.
Kitchener also signed Finnish blueliner Ville Ottavainen on Wednesday and first round OHL Draft pick and forward Francesco Pinelli on Tuesday.
