Francesco Pinelli has officially signed a standard player agreement with the Kitchener Rangers.
The 16-year-old forward was selected 13th overall by the Rangers in the 2019 OHL draft back in April.
Last season with the Toronto Red Wings, the native of Stoney Creek scored 49 goals and added 65 assists for 114 points in 71 games.
He just returned from Hockey Canada's Under-17 Development Camp, where he tallied two goals for Team Red.
"We were excited to have the chance to pick Francesco in the first round at this season's OHL Priority Selection. He is a fast skater who has the ability to beat defenders in numerous ways and make plays at a very high pace. He is going to be a great asset to our team," Rangers General Manager Mike McKenzie said in a release.
