The Kitchener Rangers have added some size to their blueline.
They signed six-foot-four, 195 pound defenceman Ville Ottavainen on Wednesday.
The native of Finland was selected 35th overall in the 2019 CHL Import Draft.
Last season, he put up 9 goals and 34 points in 49 regular season games with Karpat Oulu B.
"Ville will be a great addition to our back end and we look forward to seeing him continue his development here in Kitchener," Rangers General Manager Mike McKenzie said in a release. "He is a player with tremendous upside and ability. He adds to our already solid group of young players and will surely be a big part of our team moving forward. We would like to welcome Ville to the Rangers."
On Tuesday, the Rangers signed their first round pick from the OHL Draft, forward Francesco Pinelli.
