Rangers rookies earn World U17 spot

By Mark Pare

There will be some Kitchener Ranger content at the World U17 Hockey Challenge in New Brunswick next month.

Rookie forward Reid Valade and first-year defender Donovan Sebrango have been selected to be among 66 Canadian players competing on three separate teams: Team Canada Black, Team Canada Red and Team Canada White.

They will play against teams from the United States, Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland and Russia.

The tournament will take place November 3-10 and games will emanate from arenas in Saint John and Quispamsis, New Brunswick.

There is some more local content on that list.

Cambridge's Tristan Lennox is one of six goaltenders that will compete.  He currently plays for the Milton Icehawks (OJHL).

Meantime in Guelph, Storm defenseman Zack Terry cracked the list of 66.

And Guelph native and Hamilton Bulldog forward Logan Morrison will join the group out east.
