Panthers drop final game of regular season

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

The Kitchener Panthers finished the 2022 campaign with a 15 and 27 record.

Kitchener lost a close one, 8-7, to the Guelph Royals at Jack Couch Park on Sunday.

Malik Collymore went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI for Guelph.

Liam Wilson and Robbie Gauthier each went deep for the Panthers.

Brett Reid (0-6) took the loss, allowing five runs on five hits over three innings.

Kitchener will open the playoffs against the team that finishes third in the standings.

Final standings will be determined Monday evening as London will play in Toronto. If the Majors win, there would be a three-way tie for first place.
