McKee returning as head coach of the Rangers

It will mark his third season as head coach

Jay McKee will be back behind the Kitchener Rangers bench in the fall.

It will be his third season as head coach of the team.

Dennis Wideman and Andreas Karlsson will also be back as assistants.

Here are some other staffing announcements that were made on Thursday:

  • Brandon Merli will be back as Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Kain Tisi will be returning in his role as Video and Goaltending Coach
  • Michael Zsolt will remain Director of Analytics and Stats but will also add Hockey Operations Assistant to his title
  • Murray Hiebert will stay on as a Senior Advisor and Scout 
  • Dan Lebold will return as Head Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager, and Barry Hoch will also be back as Assistant Equipment Manager

The team is also welcoming Cory Birk as Athletic Therapist. He held the same role with the GOJHL's Listowel Cyclones for nine seasons.
