Kitchener’s Tanner Pearson traded to Penguins

By Blair Adams

Tanner Pearson will have to get used to the Eastern Time Zone again.

The Kitchener native has been traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins by the Los Angeles Kings.

Like the Kings, Pearson has struggled this season, with just one assist in 17 games.

Last season, he put up 40 points – including 15 goals – in 82 games.

Pearson won a Stanley Cup with L.A. in 2014.

He has two years left on a contract paying him $3.75 million per season.

In exchange, the Kings get winger Carl Hagelin.
