Full IBL schedule released for 2022

The countdown is on, 118 days until the Intercounty Baseball League is scheduled to begin its 2022 campaign.

The season opener will see a rematch of the 2021 IBL Championship series, when the defending champion London Majors visit the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday, May 15.

The Panthers begin its 42-game regular season on Friday, May 20 in London, before hosting Barrie on Monday, May 23 for the opener at Jack Couch Park.

Other than the home opener, all Panthers home games are scheduled to take place on Thursdays and Sundays, though keep in mind weather can play a factor on the baseball schedule.

Each team plays each other six times, including the returning Guelph Royals.

The 2022 season is scheduled to wrap up on Sunday, August 21.

Details on the playoff format have yet to be released.
