The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed forward Josh Leivo to a one-year, $1.5-million deal, the team announced Friday.
Leivo played 76 games last season — 49 of them with the Canucks, after being acquired through trade from the Toronto Maple Leafs last December.
The 26-year-old had 14 goals, 24 points and 32 penalty minutes between Vancouver and Toronto last season.
The Innisfil, Ont., native was a third-round selection, 86th overall, with the Maple Leafs in 2011 NHL Draft.
Leivo played half a season with the Kitchener Rangers after being acquired in a trade with Sudbury.
