Beach volleyball gold for Kitchener’s Pavan

Kitchener's Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes have won gold at the Gstaad Major in Switzerland.
They defeated Germans Julia Sude and Chantal Laboureur 2-1 (21-17, 12-21, 17-15) on Sunday.
It is their first podium finish of the season.
Canadians Heather Bansley and Brandie Wilkerson claimed bronze in Gstaad after defeating a team from Brazil.
The next Beach Volleyball Major Series tournament takes place in Austria in early August.
Pavan and Humana-Paredes also won gold at the Commonwealth Games in April.
