By CityNews Kitchener Staff

Youth can learn what it takes to be a veterinarian through a program at the Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth Humane Society.

Vets In Training is making a comeback after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Participants will explore topics including animal behavior, anatomy, and even get to perform basic physical exams.

Separate programs will be offered for youth ages 7-10, 10-14, and 14+.

Each program is five weeks long and is capped at 10 participants. The cost is $250 per participant.

More information is posted on the humane society's website.
