Worst of Tropical Depression Gordon to miss Waterloo Region

By Phi Doan

The worst of the Tropical Depression Gordon after effects is expected to hit hardest near the border, but Waterloo Region isn't expected to be hit.

According to Meteorologist Steve Knotts, we are expected to see some rain. We could get between 10-15 mm on Sunday evening.

“It looks like the real fallout is more south of Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, over in Pennsylvania, and Ohio. They're expecting around 50 to 100 mm of rain down there,” says Knotts.

The rest of Sunday will be mostly cloudy, and Monday will see rain, but nothing unusual.

According to Knotts, the upcoming week will be changing saying, “We're going to have, a return to warmer than normal temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday. I think right now the average is about 21, and we're looking at temperatures around 25-26 degrees and sunny.”
