Waterloo launches The Community Happiness Project

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

It's time to get creative and spread happiness throughout the City of Waterloo.

The city has launched The Community Happiness Project.

From January to mid-February, residents can submit audio messages and images through an online portal.

“Being isolated from one another does not diminish the strength of our community. Now more than ever we need safe ways to connect,” Waterloo Mayor Dave Jaworsky, said in a release. “Throughout the pandemic, the community has shown tremendous support for one another. The Community Happiness Project allows residents to both give and receive messages of hope and positivity. It helps us remember we are all in this together.”

You are asked to make your submission no later than Feb. 12.

To find out more about The Community Happiness Project or to submit a message, visit the city's online portal.
