A local pioneer in the transportation industry has passed away.
“We regret to inform you that this morning we said goodbye to a remarkable man and our founder, Vernon Erb,” said a statement from The Erb Group of Companies on Wednesday.
Vernon Erb had been battling an aggressive form of leukemia, and recently returned home for palliative care.
His company said, “We will always remember our founder by his kindness, integrity, and exceptional work ethic. He will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.”
A celebration of life is being planned and more details are set to be released soon.
