Uptown Night Market debuts 30 vendors, the most for the event

By Isabel Buckmaster

Two more weeks until the Uptown Night Market in Waterloo wraps up next week.

Tonight’s market features 30 vendors, including pieces from the Rising Moon Gallery and countless other local booths inspired by the night.

The weekly market is being held Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m until August 25 in the upper parking lot for the Waterloo Public Library on Albert Street.

Tracey Van Kalsbeek, executive director of the Uptown Waterloo Business Improvement Area, said there will be a range of local artisans, food, retail items, vintage clothing, housewares and more, in a release.

“Last year our market brought close to 5,000 visitors to Uptown. With our increased number of vendors, live music and entertainment, we hope to double that figure this year!” she said.
