The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has released a report after investigating a plane crash that killed a pilot in Stratford last August.
The small twin-engine sea plane was heading from Sarnia to Stratford to get a maintenance inspection.
As the plane was not required to have a flight data recorder, there is still no determination into the complete sequence of events that led to the crash.
"Given the absence of data, the investigation could not determine the complete sequence of events that led to the collision," the report said.
The TSB report only found the plane hit the ground in a farm filled field, coming almost straight down and there was a post-impact fire. All flight control instruments were damaged in the fire which also impacted the investigation.
The propellers of the plane were embedded in the ground after the crash, and the edges of the wings were crushed.
