Sun Life Financial Busker Carnival still in need of volunteers

By Casey MacDonald

Organizers with the Sun Life Financial Busker Carnival are still in need of volunteers.

So far, 60 per cent of the positions have been filled.

Amanda Wright with the event says the event is always enjoyable for volunteers.

“Most people really enjoy it. It's a pleasant opportunity and the acts are phenomenal and you get the opportunity to see most of the performers during your shift.”

Wright says volunteer shifts are for Thursday to Sunday with the largest vacancies on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Shifts run between 3-4 hours long.

The carnival runs from August 23 to the 26 and will feature a number of performers, including Steven Page.

This is the 30th anniversary for the carnival.

More information on the carnival along with a link to a volunteer application form can be found here.
