The Stanley Cup was on display at the New Hamburg Community Centre for a few hours on Thursday morning.
Washington Capitals video coach and New Hamburg Minor Hockey alumni, Brett Leonhardt got his day with the Stanley Cup.
Hundreds were already lined up, even before the doors opened.
"For me, this is where I learned how to skate, learned how to stop the puck and play novice hockey...It means a lot to be here because it's kind of like the start and the end of a hockey career, for sure." Leonhardt told 570 NEWS.
