School board trustee to run provincially for NDP in Kitchener-Conestoga

Public school board trustee Karen Meissner will run for the New Democrats in the riding of Kitchener-Conestoga next year.

The announcement was made on Wednesday morning.

Meissner has been a trustee with the Waterloo Region District School Board since 2018.

She is currently studying at Wilfrid Laurier University, and is also a former small business owner and professional photographer.

Meissner says she is excited to represent her community and fight for a better Ontario for all families.

She has lived in the riding with her husband and three children for the last 14 years.

The provincial election is scheduled for June 2, 2022.
