Regional police arrest driver for stunt driving and substance possession (update)

Regional police say a driver is facing more than one charge after allegedly caught stunt driving in Kitchener.

It happened on Sunday, December 29th on Highway 8 along Fairway Road at 10 a.m.

Police allege the vehicle was caught going 173 km/h in a 90km speed zone.

After pulling the driver over, Police say cannabis was allegedly seen inside the vehicle, which they believe was made available to the driver. 

Police say they also found an alleged substance without a perscription within the vehicle.

As a result, a 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with mutliple offences, including stunt driving, resulting in a seven day licence suspension.

Police say the vehicle will also be impounded for seven days.
