La Cie McCormick Canada has issued a recall for its Compliments brand Chili Powder due to possible Salmonella contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency confirms their investigation.

The recall applies to Compliments brand Chili Powder dated for March 26, 2020.

Consumers are advised to toss the product or return them to the grocery store that they were purchased from.

Food contaminated with Salmonella can cause serious and even deadly infections in young children, pregnant women, the elderly and those with a weakened immune systems. 

Healthy bodies may experience short term symptoms of fever, headache, nausea, and diarrhea.
