Realtors association donates $54K to Habitat for Humanity

The Kitchener-Waterloo Association of Realtors has donated over $54,000 to Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region.
The funds were raised during the association's 27th annual charity golf tournament in September.
The cheque presentation was made on Friday.
Since 1988, the local Habitat for Humanity has helped over 145 low-income families become homeowners.
“We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of KWAR’s Realtor community who understand the stability home ownership can bring to families. Donations like this bring us one step closer to building a safe, decent, and affordable place for a lower-income, working family to purchase.” said Phillip Mills, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region.
