Waterloo Regional Police are out with some sobering numbers ahead of the long weekend.
So far this year, 158 motorists have been charged with impaired driving related offences.
The news comes during Road Safety Week across Canada.
Police said if you have plans to go out and indulge in alcohol or drugs, you need to arrange a safe ride home - or else you'll be spending time in the back of one of their cruisers.
