Mildred the dog finds forever home

A happy ending for what started as a disturbing find over the summer.

Mildred, a dog who was found discarded on the side of the road in a plastic bag, is now doing well and has now found her forever home.

The Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford-Perth Humane Society said in a tweet Tuesday night that a woman named Dorothy adopted her.

The last few months have been filled with surgeries after Mildred was found, and she was closely monitored by her foster mom during recovery.
