Kitchener's Fairview Park Mall is going through some major changes.
The plans presented by Colliers International include new residential space, retail, dining, two new office buildings, reworking of the Sears space and more parking.
In fact, the presentation package boasts 3,800 parking spaces on site, which includes underground lots and a new structure.
The new addition to the mall will be known as "The Grand Market District." The site is being boasted as "a true one-stop destination for the Kitchener-Waterloo area" especially with access to the Region's LRT, BRT and GRT right at the mall.
Four new residential towers along Kingsway Drive are also included.
The plans also tout floor to ceiling windows with plenty of natural light.
Those involved with the project include mall owner Cadillac Fairview, Colliers International, Petroff and Roy Higgs International.
"We are currently in the planning stages of an exciting mixed-used development which will complement our existing shopping centre. Marketing of the project is underway and we look forward to sharing updates as plans progress." said Anna Ng at Cadillac Fairview.
