Local woman facing racing charge after traffic stop in West Perth

A Waterloo woman is now charged following a traffic stop in West Perth.

An officer Perth County OPP observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Perth Road 164 around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say the vehicle was going in excess of 50 km/h over the posted speed limit when the officer pulled it over.

Emily Kim, 21, is charged with racing.

She is due in court at a later date.

The vehicle was also towed and impounded.
