Laurier confirms four more COVID-19 cases at Waterloo campus

Four more students at Wilfrid Laurier University's Waterloo campus have tested positive for COVID-19.

One lives in the Waterloo College Hall residence, while three reside in Clara Conrad Hall. They are all self-isolating. 

Region of Waterloo Public Health is notifying any high-risk contacts who may have been exposed, including those who in live in the affected students' residence halls. 

On its website, Laurier reassured the campus community that it has strict cleaning and sanitizing protocols in place due to the pandemic. 

Since September 19, 15 students at Laurier's Waterloo campus have tested positive for COVID-19, while no positive cases have been reported in staff members. Zero cases have been recorded at its Brantford location. 

The University of Waterloo has confirmed one COVID-19 case at its Waterloo campus so far this school year, but it did not specify whether the affected individual was a student or staff member. Currently, Conestoga College has not reported any positive cases at any of its campuses in Waterloo Region.
