K-W Santa Claus Parade returns to Weber Street

By Christine Clark

The Kitchener-Waterloo Santa Claus Parade is returning to its original format for the 2022 holiday season.

On Saturday, November 19, floats will head along Weber Street from Frederick Street to Erb Street.

For the past two years, The Lions Club of Kitchener has held the event on two separate days in stationary locations, with families booking time slots to “drive-thru” and see Santa.

This year, it's back to pre-pandemic norms with a 10 a.m. start on Weber. The traditional Santa Run will start at 9:45 a.m.

Parade goers are encouraged to bring their letters for Santa, to be collected along the parade route.

Food donations are also welcome for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, as well as toys for the Knights of Columbus’ Toy Drive.

Those looking to participate in the parade are now able to fill out a registration form online.
