Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge to celebrate New Year on Sunday

The cities of Waterloo and Cambridge will be celebrating the New Year in separate events on Sunday.

Waterloo's New Year's Levee will take place at the Rec. Complex at 101 Father David Bauer Drive from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  

Activities include:

  • Free skating from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Free swimming from 2:05 to 4:00 p.m.
  • Live entertainment featuring Erick Traplin and the Grand River Swing Band
  • Cartoon Bob, STEM Robotics and Virtual Reality will be onsite to entertain the family
  • Free cookies and refreshments

The party in Cambridge will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Cambridge City Hall (50 Dickson Street).

Activities include:

  • Meet and greet with Mayor Kathryn McGarry
  • family friendly live entertainment from Team T&J and Marco the Clown.
  • free snacks and drinks
