A 46-year-old resident of Kitchener is facing a charge in connection with a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 540 and Highway 542 in Gordon Township.

It happened just before 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.

Ontario Provincial Police allege a north bound vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign, striking a west bound vehicle.

The driver of the west bound vehicle was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, while four people in the north bound vehicle were treated for minor injuries.

A Kitchener resident, who has not been named, has been charged with failing to stop.

The intersection was closed for around six hours while police conducted their investigation.
