Kitchener man accused of being impaired by drugs after calling Guelph cops on himself

On April 17, 2019 at approximately 1:40 a.m., Guelph Police received a call from a man advising that he was driving his motor vehicle but had consumed cocaine and needed to speak with police. Police located the motor vehicle driving on Woodlawn Road East and a traffic stop was conducted. Investigation determined that he was impaired by drugs and he was arrested. A subsequent search discovered a small quantity of cocaine.
The 30-year-old Kitchener man has been charged with impaired driving by drug and possess a controlled substance. He will appear in court on May 28, 2019.
