Kitchener hospitals to share $5.4M in provincial funding

Kitchener's two hospitals with share $5.4 million in funding from the provincial government.

The announcement was made Tuesday by local MPPs.

St. Mary's General Hospital will receive $3.9 million. The president of St. Mary's says the funding will allow the hospital to continue with structural updates, such as the work currently being done on the exterior of the facility.

Grand River Hospital's share of the funding is $1.5 million.

The money is from the $182 million Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund and the Community Infrastructure Renewal Fund.
