Home Hardware helps Operation Christmas Child

By Nathan Shubert

As part of the annual Operation Christmas Child campaign, local Home Hardwares and community organizations are providing shoeboxes to children around the world.

Organized by Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian international relief organization, this year, Home Hardware stores across Canada were able to collect around 3,200. shoeboxes filled with school supplies, hygiene products, toys, and clothing.

“These shoeboxes are shipped to children in Central America and West Africa and are often the first gift they ever receive,” said Mary Holden, Operations Manager of Samaritan’s Purse Canada. “We are so grateful for partners like Home Hardware, which play a key role in the journey these shoeboxes make.”

Home Hardware has worked with Operation Christmas Child since 1996, and if you would like to contribute, you can visit the Operation's website
