Region of Waterloo Public Health has issued a high-risk exposure notice relating to a COVID-19 outbreak.

It was reported Tuesday that five staff cases have been detected at Junior's Sportsbar and Grill in Cambridge.

A post on the restaurant's Facebook said it is now temporarily closed as a result.

Patrons who visited Junior's between October 17 and October 22 may have been exposed and are considered high-risk contacts.

Those individuals are being urged to seek testing immediately and self-isolate.

According to public health, four of the five employee COVID-19 cases confirmed at Junior's were unvaccinated.

A release said, “Interactions among some of these cases outside of the workplace have also played a role in this outbreak.”

Public health said it will continue to work closely with the workplace, which closed voluntarily.
